NIGHT IN GALES Vocalist BJÖRN GOOSSES Quits Italy's INFLICTION
January 23, 2006German vocalist Björn Goosses (NIGHT IN GALES) has left the Italian death/thrash metal act INFLICTION. "Of course, this happened without spilling any drop of bad blood," Goosses writes in a statement. "From the first day NIGHT IN GALES and INFLICTION played a show together and INFLICTION asked me to do some guest vocals on their debut album to the shows I played with INFLICTION and the work in the recording studio, I have always enjoyed hanging with these guys and appreciated their music as well as the love and energy they spent creating it! But as some of you may know, besides INFLICTION I am not involved only in NIGHT IN GALES, but in two other great bands as well: THE VERY END and THE RULES. And apart from my participation in the above-mentioned bands I am running my design studio Killustrations, which is growing considerably and takes the lion's share of my time. I guess you can imagine that I simply do not have enough time to continue INFLICTION on the level the guys would deserve it. I love INFLICTION's latest album, 'The Silencer', and hope that this album will gain them the attention they deserve! Porco Dio! I am sure there is much more killer music to come from this crazy, warm-hearted and passionate bunch of Italians! I definitely wish you all the best, Gianluca, Jan, Ricky, Chris and Claudio... vaffanculo! The guys are already rehearsing with a new singer, so keep your ears open for some new INFLICTION stuff in 2006! And if you haven't done that yet, pick up your copy of 'The Silencer'!"
INFLICTION's sophomore full-length album, "The Silencer" was released in October 2005 via Italy's Cruz Del Sur Music.
